Rivers are sources of endless refreshment, not only for our bodies, but for our minds as well. Just as a tall glass of water on a hot day brings an involuntary sigh of delight, so is the sound of the river to my soul. The stars have the same revitalizing affect on me. The passage of light from the innumerable stars to my eyes and into the very depth of my being is something that brings me great joy. I had one hour to capture some images before the moon rose and washed out the sky. My wife and I jumped in the car and made the 30 minute drive to this location. How blessed are we to live so close to a place like this? Towering trees line Hyalite Creek which even in a drought year like this still flows with the melted remains of last winter’s snowflakes. The arch of the Milky Way drops behind the mountains, flowing with that soul refreshing light that adds to the energizing flows of the water.
